Gear Reviews

Since I carry a lot of stuff around in my backpack when I'm on the road I thought it would be nice to review some of the items I use.

The first review will be about the Wenger Ranger 155 Swiss army knife. The first thing that stands out about this knife is it's size. It's a bigger then the average Swiss army knife, but doesn't have that many different options inside. This is because everything is build around the big blade and woodsaw inside. The blade is half serrated, which makes it stay sharp longer and perfect for cutting. It also locks so you don't have to worry about the big blade folding on your fingers when cutting something. When you buy this knife, expect it to be razor sharp when you first get it. The woodsaw in this Swiss army knife is, again, pretty big. It will go through thick wood really fast so with this knife you don't have to carry an extra saw with you.
Below an overview of all the options this knife has. The other options all function as you would expect them to.

Standard serrated blade with safety lock system
Wood saw
Flat screwdriver with safety lock system
Cap lifter
Wire bender
Can opener
Corkscrew
Reamer
Awl with sewing eye

I am really happy with this knife and it never leaves my pocket when I leave the house. It weighs only 160grams so you don't really feel it in your pocket. For an average price of 50 euro's I can recommend this Swiss army knife to everyone. It will last you for years and won't disappoint you.
